Please ensure that the blends are kept away from heat sources and direct light, and avoid leaving them open, as this may compromise the integrity of the botanical ingredients used in their formulation. Blends can be refrigerated to provide a cooling effect when applied.

 Since all the products are made with botanical materials and free from synthetic fragrances and preservatives, the shelf life is stable for a specific time frame, ensuring that the product is stored properly. Oil-based, hydrosol-based, body butters and creams/lotions last up to TWO years. Aromatic Salts last ONE year. To extend shelf life, place the product in the refrigerator.

 Essential oils can be quite potent, and certain oils may pose risks during pregnancy. At Flores Aromatherapy, we prioritize the safety of expectant mothers by formulating all our products with their specific needs in mind. It is crucial to follow proper usage guidelines and exercise caution when utilizing oil-based products. 

Flores Aromatherapy has developed a line of products specifically designed for children aged 6 years and older. For those under 6 years old, it is recommended that oil-based products be further diluted with Apricot Kernel Oil to achieve a safer dilution rate, ensuring their suitability for young children. Products containing Peppermint Oil are not suitable for children under 6 years.

 Essential oils can pose significant risks to cats, as they lack the necessary enzymes to metabolize these substances effectively. It is advisable to refrain from diffusing essential oils or leaving products open in their vicinity. While dogs are generally less sensitive to these oils, caution is still warranted; avoid applying or misting products near their eyes, mouth, or face. Any animal-friendly products should be applied to your hand and massaged on the neck and coat of the dog to ensure safety.

 All products have a shelf life. However, improper storage can cause the formulation to oxidize, diminishing its therapeutic properties. This can render the product ineffective and may lead to skin sensitivities and toxicity to the body’s internal systems.

Massage Oils: 1-2 years

 In the event of skin irritations, discontinue use immediately. Clean the affected area with soap and water for 5 to 10 minutes, and apply a vegetable oil, such as olive oil. In severe cases, an oatmeal bath or contacting poison control may be necessary.

 Aromatherapy serves as a complementary therapy to conventional medicine; thus, it is essential to adhere to your prescribed medication regimen as directed by your healthcare provider.
